As someone who suffers from anxiety and intrusive thoughts, I'm always interested in reading about someone else's experience with those same things. We all cope in different ways, and this just made my heart ache a little less today.

I've long admired John Green as a human, and have had my ups and downs with his writing,
but as soon as this book announced I knew it was going to be one of his more personal ones,
considering it's very much an Own Voices story - even as it's brought to us from the POV of a teenage girl.

I pre-ordered this and it's been sitting on my shelf since 2017 and it took me 4 years to feel ready to read it.

Aza's story is just one more shout into the void, hoping there is someone else on the other side to hear it. Well, it definitely found me.

Please practice self care before, during and after reading.
If you also suffer from intrusive thoughts or OCD, this may contain a lot of triggers.
Stay safe, take care <3
